What Is Involved?
When you attend one of our group classes, it is always started with a vocal warm-up to prevent vocal injury and to train the vocal muscles to improve vocal range.
After warming up, we turn to our vocal skill focus of the week and perform different exercises to understand the importance of each technique and how to achieve and apply said skill when you sing. Eg: If the weekly focus is pitch, we will discuss what it is, and practice matching pitch and hitting certain notes.
Next, we turn our focus to learning a group song. Students get to choose a song they like, to learn and sing all together with the coach giving corrections as they go along. We also turn our focus onto the performance aspect as well, looking at how we can put on a show and use our whole body and emotion to improve our stage presence and compliment their vocals.
Students also get the opportunity to perform their individual songs of choice to the rest of the class. This also helps develop their performance skills and condition them to having a live audience to increase confidence and self-esteem within their vocal talent.
Who Can Join?
Absolutely any kid who has a passion for music! Whether you have never sang before, or you are an experienced professional, we accept all different skill levels from kids in preschool all the way to year 6!
Our classes are split into three different age groups: Preschool, Kindy – Year 2 & Year 3 – Year 6. These classes are currently run on Thursdays and Saturdays. If these days don’t suit, please Contact Us to request an alternative time.
The beauty of our classes is that the size of the lessons are limited meaning not only does your child get the opportunity to work with a supportive, like-minded group, but they also receive that individual attention to focus on their personal goals and expand on their talent.
