This Agreement is between Unlock Your Voice and the Student (and where the Student is under the age of 18 years, the Parent/Guardian on behalf of the Student), is legally binding, and is governed by the laws of the state in which the Student attends classes. This agreement is binding until we receive notice of cancellation as per the paragraphs below.
Payment of Fees
All fees are payable via direct debit from a credit card, debit card, or bank account over a specified period through a service provider nominated by Unlock Your Voice. Credit card payments incur a 1.9% surcharge. All declined payments incur an $8.80 fee charged directly by the payment gateway. Cash or cheque payments are not accepted. Unlock Your Voice and/or the service provider nominated by Unlock Your Voice may charge a merchant service fee, administration and/or transaction charges, and any other late payment charges if the details you provide to us or the service provider are incorrect causing a stop, incorrect drawing from or no payment from your account. Any failed payments will be re-processed 24 hours later daily until payment is successful or at any date determined at Unlock Your Voice’s discretion. Unlock Your Voice reserves the right to terminate your membership and/or provide your information to a debt collection agency due to payments falling in arrears (subject to applicable legislation). PLEASE NOTE: All membership fees must be kept up to date and paid upfront to allow students to continue attending classes. There’s a $2.20 admin fee applied by the Payment Gateway ‘PayChoice’ any time a new card/payment method is registered or set up.
Canceling your Membership
You may cancel your membership at any time by providing written notice. Your cancellation will be effective on the last day of your current membership. Therefore, your deductions will continue until the full term’s fees are paid.
- No refunds mid-membership are permitted under any circumstances unless a doctor’s certificate is provided for injury/illness
- No memberships can be put on hold
Missed or Cancelled Classes Unlock Your Voice does not offer make-up classes for any missed or canceled group or private sessions or any courses.
Health of a Student
We accept Students on the assumption that they are in good health and fitness. It is your responsibility to notify Unlock Your Voice of any medical complaint or history suffered by the Student that may prevent that Student from engaging in any physical or active singing exercises or routine. As per Covid recommendations (2020-2021), anyone with Covid-related symptoms must notify the studio and organise to do their lessons via Zoom/Online.
A Student is only permitted to bring water to classes. No food can be brought into Unlock Your Voice classes at any venue.
Teachers
All our teachers are trained with specific skills and are allocated to students based on student goals, age, and needs. If a teacher is sick or away, another teacher with an equivalent skill set and qualifications will fill in as a substitute and have access to your notes and history so they can continue with your singing goals.
Resources
Our studio is equipped with microphones, sound systems, and pianos to ensure that you get the most out of your lessons. At the end of your first lesson, you will receive an email with links to our online resource, which will equip you to continue your learning at home as well as in class and is a part of our learning curriculum. This is charged at an added rate to your enrolment at $27 per month or $199 upfront. Use of microphones, equipment, and studios will be dependent on Covid regulations at the time of your booking.
Photograph and Video
In the interest of protecting the privacy of our Students, we cannot allow any classes to be recorded or any Students to be photographed without our prior written consent. Any breach of this by you will entitle us to immediately terminate this Agreement.
Unlock Your Voice Advertising and Promotional Material
If you are selected for promotional material, then this clause constitutes a Talent Waiver where you agree that we may take any photographs or make an audio or video or digital recording of you or the Student at a Unlock Your Voice event and use that material in any promotions in print, photography, reproduction of scripts, radio, television, internet streaming, internet sites of Unlock Your Voice or any third parties we consider appropriate. All copyright in this material will reside with us and you waive your rights to receive any royalties or fees should we use your image in any promotional materials we (or another party on our behalf) produce.
Changes to the Agreement
Unlock Your Voice may change the terms of this Agreement and/or the Fees by giving you 30 (thirty) days’ written notice. If we change this Agreement, you can terminate this Agreement if you can demonstrate that such change is detrimental to you and that the change was not one that was expressly permitted by law.
Please keep your records up to date.
Please ensure that you keep us promptly informed of any change to your contact or payment details. We will not be responsible for any event relevant to your enrolment due to a failure by you to notify us of any relevant changes. Unlock Your Voice communicates information via email and as part of this service you must have a valid email account.
If any provisions of this Agreement are deemed void, invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, that clause may be severed without affecting the enforceability of the other provisions of this Agreement which Agreement shall, to the maximum extent permitted by law, continue to be valid and enforceable.
Definitions used in this Agreement
- Agreement means this Agreement
- Unlock Your Voice, us, we, means Unlock Your Voice Pty Ltd ABN 31 123 481 596 of 17-25 Spring Street Bondi Junction New South Wales, 2022
- Membership means your membership in Unlock Your Voice
- Student means the Student attending Unlock Your Voice. For all Students under the age of 18 years, all terms set out in this Agreement are the responsibility of the Parent and/or Guardian of the Student.
- You mean the Student (if you are 18 years or over) or the Parent/Guardian of the Student if the Student is under 18 years of Age Unless otherwise stated in this Agreement all clauses relate to the Student and/or the Parent/Guardian of the Student.
Changing Your Membership
- To change your membership, you must complete a Change of Details Form which can be picked up at Reception or requested via myvocalcoach@unlockyourvoice.
net (VERBAL CHANGES either in person or by phone or by text are NOT ACCEPTED). - You cannot drop down in membership after the first payment date of the term. After the first payment date of any given term, you are locked in to pay for the remainder of that term as your current membership type.
- If you are wanting to drop down in membership for the next term, you must submit a new Registration Form prior to the first payment date of that term.
- Canceling Your Membership:
- CANCELLATION MUST BE IN WRITING – please email myvocalcoach@unlockyourvoice.
net (You may cancel your membership to avoid automatic rollover into the next term at any time, once your current program is completed by providing us with written notice of your intention to do so. VERBAL CANCELLATIONS either in person or by phone are NOT ACCEPTED).

- Your cancellation will be effective on the last day of the membership in which you provide us with the cancellation notice. Therefore, your deductions will continue until the full membership fees are paid.
- Your Membership is ongoing for the period of the school year. Membership rolls over, from term to term, unless you notify us in writing.
- There are NO REFUNDS except for extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of Unlock Your Voice.
Declaration
By enrolling in Unlock Your Voice, I declare that I have read and agreed to these terms and conditions. I accept the liability for payment of all fees described in this form. I agree that payment must be made in advance to secure my lesson time.
Gift Vouchers & Promotions

These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Unlock Your Voice websites found at www.unlockyourvoice.net or any associated webpages pages (websites) being used from time to time by Unlock Your Voice respectively. In addition, the Unlock Your Voice Privacy Policy applies to your use of these websites and webpages.
These terms and conditions specifically refer to the following products and services which may be purchased or accessed via our websites:
- Vouchers, Gift Certificates (‘Gift Voucher’) / Gift Cards
- Unlock Your Voice Gift Voucher
- Unlock Your Voice Christmas Promotion Gift Voucher
- Gift Certificate (‘Gift Voucher’)/Card – An Unlock Your Voice voucher with a dollar value that can be used as currency towards the purchase of singing lessons ( Private or Group as stated on the voucher)
- Direct InStudio Purchases (10 Packs, Gift Vouchers, Other Certificates)
Throughout these terms and conditions, the above products and services are collectively referred to as ‘Unlock Your Voice Gift(s)’.
1. Making a Purchase
When you purchase and/or use an Unlock Your Voice Gift you agree to have understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions’, and become legally bound by these terms and conditions and the Unlock Your Voice Privacy Policy.
Please do not proceed to purchase/use your Unlock Your Voice Gift until you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
When you make a purchase on behalf of another individual (such as purchasing a gift voucher for them) and you provide us with their personal information, you warrant that you are authorised to provide us with that personal information and that we are able to use that personal information for the purposes as set out in our privacy policy. This would include, for example, using their name or email address to claim their purchase.

2. Gift Voucher Refunds
No Refund for Change of Mind Policy
We do not provide refunds for a change of mind. You can however transfer the recipient of the gift voucher by calling Unlock Your Voice directly and making the required change.
3. Gift Voucher Conditions
A gift voucher can only be redeemed by the recipient provided we have the recipients details in our system, created from the original purchase. Unlock Your Voice will not honour any gift vouchers by recipients or purchasers if they are not on our system.
Unlock Your Voice accepts no responsibility for any stolen or fraudulent Gift Vouchers. It is the holder’s responsibility to ensure the safe keeping of the Gift Voucher(s).
Cash will not be given for any unused amount. Gift Voucher cannot be redeemed for Cash.
We reserve the right to change the terms contained in these Terms of Use at any time.
4. Prices
We reserve the right to change prices without notice. All prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 10% in Australia.
5. Expiry of Gift Vouchers
Christmas or Promotional Vouchers
- Christmas and or Other Promotional Vouchers must be booked and used within 6months of purchase.
- After 6 months, if the price of the singing lessons has increased, an additional amount will need to be paid at the time of booking.
Unlock Your Voice In Studio Vouchers
Unlock Your Voice In Studio Vouchers purchased on or after 1st November 2019 will remain valid for 36 months from the date of purchase subject to the following;
- The Gift Voucher was not purchased as part of a promotion
- After 6 months, if the price of the singing lessons has increased, an additional amount will need to be paid at the time of booking.
All vouchers must be used within the validity period.
6. Gift Voucher Delivery
Gift Voucher In Studio Purchase
All gift vouchers are either provided in Studio in person to the purchaser or via email to the purchaser after an online payment has been made. Gift Voucher Delivery via Email
Unlock Your Voice is not liable or responsible for any loss suffered as a result of a Gift Voucher via email being blocked by filters or firewalls, or where the incorrect email address has been entered by the purchaser. If the recipient does not receive the email Gift Voucher, please contact us immediately on 0403 329184 to send the voucher to an alternative email address. Alternatively, you can pick up a gift voucher in Studio
7.Unlock Your Voice’s Liability
Nothing in these terms (including the exclusions and limitations in this section 12) excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that under law cannot be excluded, modified or restricted such as your statutory consumer guarantee rights, including under the Australian Consumer Law (for more information see section 2 and section 13).
